      So this past weekend me and a buddy set to work moving my existing mining rigs and adding to them. The result is about a 7500watt garage heater for this winter!

      The farm consists of 10 HD7950’s, 21 380’s and 1 KNC Titan. I need 3 more 380’s but newegg ran out of stock and then raised the price so Im not sure what Im going to do with that.

      As it sits now, it hashes at 275MH/s Scrypt (the titan) and about 520MH/s on ether. I get about 380KH/s on neo with my 7950’s, not sure what a 380 gets yet but if we say 400 then Ill be at about 12MH/s.

      6 Rigs in total, 5-6 GPUs each for density. Powered by two 30amp 240v PDUs (currently only one is wired up). Still tweaking some things, i have a bunch of BIOS to flash to bring down power draw on the 380s and such but its running in its current configuration. The garage its in has a separate power meter from the house so I can get a pretty accurate idea of what it costs to run when I get my first bill. This is a starting point, as I get it paid off I’ll use profits to add 12 more GPUs over time. From there I’ll need to add another rack if I go bigger…

      Oh yeah… PICTURES:

        @AmDD Looks sick! Nice work, would love to see how/what you are using to keep the garage cool.

          Thanks!

          At the moment, just a single 20" box fan. It can be seen in the top left of the 3rd and 4th pictures. I want to cut some plywood to better seal the fan to the window opening. There is another window of the same size a few feet away that I can add another fan if need be. I looked at some higher priced fans but they dont seem to pull any more CFM of air than these cheap box fans do (based on the limited specs I can find). The last few days have been much cooler so maybe the extreme summer heat is nearly over and I wont have to worry so much for awhile.

          This garage has what used to be a small office inside it, thats the room these miners are in now so its isolated from everything else to an extent.

            @AmDD ‘top-notch’, mate… A very nice one…!!!
            Seems a kind of ‘motivating’ things for me as a ‘new-comer’ here… ;3)

            this is mostly d results for an ‘early-settlers’ of crypto-mining people… yeahhh…!!!
            wit all d 'knowledge n a lots of time ‘passing-by’…Its worth n priceless…

            Thanx for sharing d picture, fren…
            .
            *Also a lots of ‘thank-you’ to @RIPPEDDRAGON for sharing a bit…d journey about ‘from a zero…to…having a lot of mining-rig’… It also kind of a ‘motivating’ things for a me as a ‘new-dummy-beginner’ here… ;3)
            .
            .
            p/s - sharing a stuff like this…, its a ‘proven’ of an ‘achieveable level’ in this crypto-mining scene…
            d 'objective of ‘de-centralize’ will keep-on ‘re-decentralized’ over n over again… Oraleeeee…

              @AmDD If u dun mind, kindly askin for a simple xplanation due to ‘other-related’ things…
              .
              -How many net-switch had been used for network of all d rigs…?
              -Then from d switch, it will port-in to house-router…? (if using a house-router)
              or its just a wireless connection…?
              .
              -hows d electric-supply management…?
              just using a wall plug or custom-wiring (3-phase-cable / additional DB board / mini-transformer @ generator, etc…etc…)
              .
              as i had experienced d ‘HOUSE-ON-FIRE’ thing before :blush::baby_tone1: :baby_tone2: , ‘safety n security’ is in my ‘middle-name’ nowadays…

              Soori if dis ‘post’ disturb…:bow_tone1: :bow:

                Sure.

                Im using a single 16 port 10/100 switch for all the rigs. Since its in the garage I was going to try running wireless but its too far away and I only endup hashing at half speed due to dropped packets I assume. At the moment I have a long cat5 cable running out a window and through the yard - this weekend Im planning to try and find a better solution.

                For power I have some 6g wire running from a panel box to the ‘farm room’ and from there it splits into two LEMA L6-30 Recepticals. the 6g wire can handle 60AMP and each receptical can handle 30 which is way more than I need but gives me room to grow later. From those I have two 30a APC PDUs that split the power between the rigs. The PDUs are also networked and allows me to remotely power cycle a hung rig if need be.

                      Very cool! Makes me want to get back into mining but the temperatures are rising down here in Australia :(

                      I had a good run back in 2013/2014 with a few R9’s but your setup is on a whole other level. Top work!!

                        Just a quick update on the farm… Current status: OFFLINE!

                        The house I was living in was just a rental and this summer my girlfriend and I bought a new house and have since moved into it. The new house has a smaller garage which is now full of boxes and furniture so I have less space for a farm.

                        I considered building a shed out back for them but havent totally talked myself into that yet. Also another consideration is building a larger garage (which I want anyway for all my other toys :) ) and moving the miners there. We’ll see what the spring brings but as for the short term I’ll probably setup 1-2 miners this winter just to do it with the added benefit of adding some extra heat to the garage.
