FTC Pools status

miningpoolhub had DDoS attack yesterday and possibly today, therefore currently is half working. Miners disconnecting and transactions delay. And this with other coins also.

give-me-coins had stalled payouts. Hope now ok, will see several hours later :) Have no idea if this with FTC only or not.

miningpoolhub had from 40 to 70% of total hashrate last weeks. After problems difficulty lowered just for several bloks. Miners distributed somewhere and now have high diff again.

Status updates:

miningpoolhub worked well for 12 hours or so, now again DDoS or smth
aika also has connectivity problems, seems like also DDoS attack (smb spending their mined coins to support botnets…?)

@aciddude I do not know how this is calculated, maybe median, but I saw that we passing 1Ghs very often.

These figures of the FTC hash rate are averaged over the day. The pattern of variation of hash rate remains consistent with a base level of mining, then coin switches or multipools coming in and out of FTC hashing.

There were indications of some additional switchers in the last detailed analysis. There weren’t any temporal anomalies that might indicate any additional “attack” methods were being used other than switching.

The hash rate / Difficulty are equivalent, both are calculated from the rate of block production.

All followed pools are OK, but Cryptopia not working properly today…
And I just sent some my coins there before check… :disappointed:

Difficulty going up as well.

That is good news, especially if it has resulted increased the baseline / FTC community hash rate.

However, Murphy’s law says the multipools will go up as well. I will look to do a difficulty analysis to see if there is any indications of what has changed, the mining demographic, or hopefully the increase in p2pool will raise the base hash rate up.
