Need help setting up to mine! Would like to start tonight asap!

@shadow1117 I think I started to mine… problem is now I’m mining with nsgminer and not ccminer. also its saying stratum from pool 0 requested work restart. what does that mean?

@miningdude22 im back home now, the restart is normal just means that a block was found and your miner shall start searching for the next one

@shadow1117 yeah sorry @AcidD. i know i am a bit of a hassle maybe a little more but i got cgminer to work and mine just not ccminer. i have found a few different .bat lines to try and see. if it doesn’t then I’m going to re download it again and try to see if that work… ummmm but thank you both and sorry for being annoying. i just need help making the .bat file to run.

@miningdude22 - there’s nothing to be sorry for, everyone starts somewhere :-)

if you can get cgminer.exe or ccminer.exe working by running it from CMD then you’re half way there.

Once you have the correct commands working inside CMD.

1 - go to your folder that contains cgminer.exe
2 - make a new .bat file (make sure the .bat file is in the same location as cgminer/ccminer.exe)

eg. cgminer.exe is in c:\windows\miningdude\Desktop\cgminer\cgminer.exe
so you would put the .bat file in: c:\windows\miningdude\Desktop\cgminer\mybatfile.bat
You can name it whatever you like, in my example the .Bat file is called “mybatfile.bat”

3 - open the new .bat file with notepad or another text editor and paste your commands from CMD in there.

4- save it

5 - run it.

Simples :-)

or use my gui ;-) if you know your pool addres, your wallet addres, the place where you extracted ccminer and just put 15 for intensity everyting is fine

@AcidD all cgminer is giving me “Strautum from pool 0 dectected new block”. Then “accepted a4cb89 diff 6.16k/512 GPU 0” then “network diff set to 3.01m”

And it just keep repeating that

Ok so that sounds like it’s mining. Are you mining against p2pool or a mining pool like give-me-coins ? You should be able to check the hashrate for your “worker” there as well.

Ok so you have to check your settings there, if you’re mining against Feathercoin you can sign into give-me-coins feathercoin pool and the home page should show you some stats.

can you confirm the graphics card you’re using ?

@shadow1117 @AcidD @wrapper i think i am mining now… looking at “givemecoins” it shows balance stats 1.08876042 FTC. Now i set my auto pay to 500. Theres another thing on the dashboard that says “0.00 coins already paid to you” does that mean when it cashes out my 500FTC that it’ll go under and say “500 Coins already paid to you”?

@miningdude22 now the only thing is… How do I up the hashes? I downloaded the MSI Afterburner and saw a few over clocks but the hash rate is still the same…
