It’s doable but isn’t really a good thing. I tried it on ryzen 7 1700, got only 50khs :P waste of power.

Thanks siriusb. i have a core i7 7700k. would like to try anyway. can u point me? tried using the same for my GPU miner, but it won’t take the port # i’m using.

                      btw, using

                      cpuminer-aes-avx2 -q -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://us-east.hub.miningpoolhub.com:20510 -u xxxx.xxxx -p x -t 3

                      x’x r my worker name

                      thanks

Did you try a different CPU miner? I just tested ghostlander’s NeoScrypt CPU Miner v2.4.3 on my I7 4790K on coinotron.com and I am getting about 4 KH/s per core, lol. Bat file is very simple too,

                        minerd -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337 -O username.workername:workerpassword

thanks jjohnson. looks like the ‘miner’ isn’t so much the prob as the address and port. tyvm, will try today. appreciate

                              hey jj,
tried it this afternoon just like u printed above. it just blinks out. put a pause in and all it asks me for is to see ‘minerd --help’. but thanks for the try. any other suggestions? (yep i had the old minerd command in the folder where the .bat file was running)
                              thx

Sorry it took so long, rough at work these days. I went in and noticed that mining pool hub doesn’t specify stratum in the getting started section. I added stratum, made sure my worker was setup.

Here is the actually bat I am using on that pool with the 2.4.3 x64 minerd:

                                  minerd -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:20510 -O jjohnson031982.1:x
                                  pause

                                  0_1500607463843_miningpoolhub.jpg

Not exactly speeds that would allow any of us an early retirement, but fun never the less testing the different builds and pushing our computers to their limits!
