      When I was an early teenager, around 95 or 96, (geez I’m getting old! Ha!) I had my face buried in my computer as much as I could. I would make web pages, and did everything I could to be an AOL “hacker”…although I was never really successful at that! HA!

      Between then and now, life happened, and I used computers for nothing but surfing and the occasional game.

      Well, Ive been into the crypto space for the last 6 months or so, and I have just recently decided that I really LOVE the idea of Feathercoin. I have wanted to mine since I started doing this, but I couldn’t justify the larger coins. When I found Feathercoin, I finally saw a coin with some incredible growth potential that I feel is still possible for a newbie to mine.

      I spent about a week and a half trying with everything that I had to get my mining software working. I had the nagging voice in the back of my head saying “You can’t give up! You know that you’re smart enough to figure this out!” It quite possibly gave me a couple gray hairs, but I am proud to say that I finally got it up and running.

      I am running ccminer 814 beta cuda 8 with a GTX 1070 with a hash rate of 1.2-1.3 MH/s.

      I feel like I’ve revived the old computer geek that was lost for a number of years, and I’m wondering how much bitcoin I would be in possession of if I had never let him die.

      It feels good to be back!

            wow! that’s some nice hashrate! can I ask what OC settings you have for your gtx1070? I also have a 1070 but it seems to be stuck at around 850 KH/s…

              @sarslemagne

              I’m using ccMiner8.14 Cuda

              I simply added +99 to my core clock in MSI Afterburner, and havent really done anything else.

              This has me bouncing between 1873 and 1911 MHz.

              My pool shows that I’m averaging 21 coins per day.

              It sucks, because I have another 1070 sitting here that I want to use as well, but the first time I tried to install it, I couldn’t get them both to work, and now that I’ve had this one online and running for the last week or so, I really don’t want to turn it off and mess with the other card. Since we’re talking about it, I’ll probably give it another shot tonight.

                @jimmy24651
                thanks for the tip! I’m going to try changing my core clock and see where it leads. all other OC settings will be set to default then.

                  @sarslemagne I don’t know how much it matters, but the 1070 I am running is the “Strix” ROG card…
