      Hi @acidd
thank you for the support. I have tried to close it and open it again but it does not start again. its just stuck, same place everytime…

      thanks for the updates!

You need to aquire some patience.

      Close the wallet.
      Wait 30 seconds
      Open wallet again
Wait 5 mins or so and see if syncing starts.

This is happening to me but doing the close and then open method seems to work. it is still very slow going but it is going. From what I’ve read it seems that this is the longest part, after the first install it seems to update rather quick.

@opeth24 you’re syncing the entire block chain from the network so can take a while, especially with a slow internet connection! 0.9.6.1 had issues with slow syncs but 0.9.6.2 should get round these issues. If your sync does halt, restarting the wallet is the best solution so far!

if your wallet doesn’t start the synchronization after you restarted the wallet within ~ 1 - 5 minutes do the follwing:

            • go to settings->debug window->console tab
            • enter addnode <ip address> add in the input line
            • repeat this step 2 -3 times with a different ip address each time

*replace the <ip address> with the ip address of a known working node.
You can use ip addresses from feathercoin pools for this or any other IP hosting a working wallet

You could also add these nodes to your .conf, which seems to be faster and more easy.

the ‘node add’ commands should be needed one time only.
Once the client has connected to a peer it maintains a list of known peers in peers.dat and uses that first to get connected at startup.

Everyone reading this thread, please also take note that the speed of your internet connection has little to do with how fast the wallet syncs, as someone stated earlier. I live just a little outside of metro Atlanta, and I have a screaming fast connection. It still took my wallet over a week to synchronize…

Also remember, you can still send coins to your wallet address, but you will not be able to see them in your wallet balance, since this transaction took place on the most recent block which will, naturally, be the last one downloaded. I know this seems quite basic, and stupid to say…but I nearly lost my sanity when I dealt with it a while back…
