@toonvskip There is actually no way to recover your coins without that password.

@toonvskip …this is very difficult. By design no one is supposed to be able to recover your coins but you! this is the whole point of crypto.

this is a bruteforcing tool and if you had a simple password like “Password123” or “SimplePass” you might be able to recover your coins.
That’s about all you can do… that or remember the password.

Hey man. I’ve never used on of these. I just know its possible.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seems problem like this as most users have learnt lessons from Bitcoins history.
Did you read the help files ?
Did you download one of their releases and try to run it?This is open source. You have to dive in yourself.

No. The wallet password you chose is on that wallet.dat file. It has nothing to do with the client version.
