Help! Wallet keeps stalling Sync

Firstly i would like to explain how this happened.
I had a power cut while i was mining and wallet was on. Upon entering feathercoin-qt it said the block was corrupted and needed to be fix. So i started to resync however it keeps getting stuck over and over again. example 36weeks and as i restart feathercoin it will be 35week. It will then get stuck what do i do? -

Sorry to hear about your power-cut.
The sync process has to verify the current blocks you downloaded…if the entire blockchain got corrupted during your power-cut then the Feathercoin-qt software has to download the entire chain again.
One of the main reasons why the sync takes so long is that Feathercoin was attacked a lot in the early days, so there are a few orphan chains that need to be processed.
If it looks like your client has frozen, just close and open it again and it should start syncing again.

@acidd hey thats what ive been doing. but it just refreezes each time. so each time i reload feathercoin it moves down 1 week. which would mean i would have to restart feathercoin-qt 35 times

Actually if you are able to “tail” or “watch” your debug.log file…you’d see that while the client “seems stuck” it’s actually processing orphan blocks in the background.
The best thing to do is just to leave it till it syncs. In the next version of Feathercoin the sync speed has been improved again. :-)

I’m rocking OSX High Sierra and my wallet been syncing little over a week granted, I’m not syncing 24/7 but trying to do as much as I can do late afternoon to evening.
I’m not 2 Weeks behind, :) so the light is nearly with me haha. All I can say mate is look at the block number, and you will notice the numbers changing :)
