      Hi back in 2013 i was mining FTC for a little bit and I have not a big amount bit still a bit of FTC in my wallet. I think it was encrypted but might have taken it off before. so my question is: 1 how can i tell if its encrypted or not and #2 how do I restore my old Wallet.dat file. I got my wallet backed up on my old external drive.

      any help would be much appreciated :)

          @rajivrocks Hi dude,

          I was the same really, i found my old .dat file within a cloud provider i use.

          Anyway how I did this, It could be the wrong way. but I’ve now got my FTC, and sent some, and made Christmas gifts with a couple of them.

          Anyway, i downloaded the client (Wallet), then closed the program. I then replaced the wallet.dat file with my own wallet.dat file loaded the program, It came up saying wallet out of sync, and as the blockchain downloaded, i got my coins slowly with each week etc.

          My wallet was to encrypted which was positive when I saw a Padlock icon next to the active connections / how many weeks I was behind.

            Hi there and welcome. Let us know how you get on. Assuming you are windows, the wallet.dat is stored in c:\users\youruser%APPDATA%\Feathercoin.

            In the new software you can define where the wallet is – c:\wallets\Feathercoin\ or somewhere sensible you can find later.
