Just noticed the favicons and rel icons seem a bit off on the site, like this

Should i prepare a favicon for all devices?

I uploaded a transparent background version here

Can someone with an iphone check out how the icon looks when you place a bookmark as a homescreen link (want to see if it is better to create a rounded edge white backround icon VS transparent background)?

got the program to extract the files. looking good. Can you do the backgrounded ones, too.
example: my icon here in the forum.

But I’m no designer, so up to you to create nice icons with background ;)

Totally agree with @Wellenreiter - if you look at his icon for this forum user, if we could get icons for that image/logo - that would be awesome.

Personally i like the #354a51 colored one more, gives me a more contemporary ICO-ey vibe (the silver one gives me a 2000s feeling - asked 2 of my mates, both using cryptocurrency and they concurred). Also, i saw in the ftc telegram that people sort of like the dark sticker.

Which one you guys like the most?

I love the silver one a lot yet I agree with you… imho it doesn’t really conform to current design standards.

I like the silver one, too, but why not offer a selection of icons and even stickers for dealers?

We have two different topics here:

we need icons included in our web presence, that are displayed well on all platforms. This is including the favicons in the address bar of the browsers.
we should offer 3rd parties icons that they can include in their web presence. These could have slightly different flavors, so people can choose

For point 2) we should update the web page, as for example iwagom is not active in the forum anymore and some icons may not match today’s standards. Then we can link the page under the resouces menu of the web page.

Personally the silver one grew on me after so many years holding ftc, i have emotional bonds with that one :P
But i think we should orient towards new users that are in the current cryptospace.
Regarding general presskit/logos etc graphic material, i believe there should be another thread, perhaps poll to determine the visual branding direction of the project, any opinions on this?

Also, we could use this on the forum, so it is consistent with the main page favicon, what do you think?

Hi, after the discussiom eventually the best option became using the same favicon for the forum as for the main site, do you need any help doing it?

confirmed - looks fine on Chrome, MacOS High Sierra
