The pool has been updated to the latest P2Pool software available from a new repository. If someone could help me test it again… hopefully the snags that occurred before are gone now.
Thanks,

Hello All,
Just wanted to provide an update, since updating the pool to the newer version of P2Pool, I can confirm that the pool is now giving out payouts as soon as blocks are found. Earlier I was struggling with payouts not happening or patchy payouts. This has all been resolved.
Whoever was mining on the server before I’d be happy to have you back on the pool if you want. :)
Thanks,

Just wanted to post and say thanks to whoever put a miner on my pool, appreciate it! :)

I just started to use your pool with 300kH/s mining speed. I wonder how often ‘Payouts if a block were found NOW:’ gets updated ? I can see my hash rate from graphs but there is no estimate of payouts…
Hi RaymanJr,
First thanks for mining on the pool, I appreciate it. The way this works is that shares are solved from the P2Pool which go into the blocks to be solved. So the mores shares solved from a pool the more each of the miners get paid etc… the block estimation is near the bottom part of the first section… currently the time to solve a block is “Expected time to block: 0.751 hours”. This is shown on the first page. This time that is “Expected” is a rough estimate for all nodes that are part of P2Pool to get the next block solved to share it with everyone on the P2Pool network.
As for payouts estimations to show, the pool will need to solve more shares while you’re on the pool and once that happens you’ll show up in the list on the index page and next to your FTC address will show your estimated pay out.
Here is a link explaining P2Pool and how it works a bit more in depth: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool
Please let me know if you have further questions and thanks again for joining up, hopefully we can get some more shares solved and get more payouts going! :)
I hope this helps.
Thanks,

To whoever else is mining the pool out there, thanks for mining the pool, I appreciate it! Please let me know if you guys have issues with the site.
Thanks,

Some first blocks worked fine and payment were sent immediately but for some reason the latest bocks hasn’t given any payments. Even though I was for example happily mining block 424283 but it doesn’t list my LTC account and obviously no payment were done. Last block which gave me payment to 6ru1rDVYJCqAaHZoEPgNpQCkuNK2XuF3of were block 30881. Any idea what I might do wrong ? My cgminer doesn’t report any errors or issues (I stopped it for while but it was running all the time when block 424283 were mined.
Hi RaymanJr,
This happens sometimes and I have no explanation for it, I didn’t receive a payout for that block either. It is rare it happens and I apologize but the next block after should definitely payout. I checked the server and everything seems to be in line and not having issues.
Again, my apologies and I hope you come back to the pool! :)

Hello Everyone,
For those of you wondering how P2Pool works etc… here is a link to a site that does a pretty good explanation for how P2Pool works: http://p2pool.me/about/
Another resource is the P2Pool site itself that was originally made for the Bitcoin network. Keep in mind that even though it says Bitcoin for the material, this applies to every P2Pool setup that has been forked from the original P2Pool setup done. This is the website: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool
I’ll try and add more resources here once I find more so everyone can get educated on P2Pool and decide if P2Pool is something that is for them or not. Just a thought from me though, if you are looking to make a quick buck from P2Pool it probably won’t happen in 5 hours or 2 minutes of mining. To see the full potential of P2Pool you need to stay on the pool for at least 24 hrs - 48 hrs so your shares start to build. Also, bear in mind that P2Pool difficulty can be sometimes higher than what you will find in other pool setups such as PPS pools and then there is variance and luck of the pool. The luck side of things is with every pool and some degree variance. However with P2Pool, you can have really good days where you get paid out a lot and other days not so much. I believe through my experience I ended up making more with P2Pool overall. Your experience may differ.
I would suggest to take sometime to read through both of those sites and it will help you understand how this all works and possibly help you make your decision. I for one since migrating to P2Pool, like the idea a lot that it is decentralized and that if my node were to ever go down, you can continue mining with another node in the P2Pool setup.
Thanks,

For any of you there were mining on the pool, it is backup, I had a slight issue with the server itself which is now resolved. Sorry about that!
I hope to have you guys rejoin the pool and start using it again! :)

Is everything OK with the pool? No payments after 8 hours and 25000 hashes. On the main page there is no list of solved blocks in the last day. Expected time till block=11hrs and going up.
What ShadowEW said. There is nothing wrong with P2Pool but the difficulty of finding blocks has gone up and from what I’ve seen a lot of people have stopped mining FTC (maybe I’m wrong) but the interest in P2Pool has gone down since the blocks are now harder to be mined.
It looks like only the serious miners for FTC are sticking around… sorry that you didn’t have such good luck mining FTC on the pool. There is a lot of luck and variance in P2Pool as well. So you get some days where they are good amount of payouts and other days where you get a few… just the way it goes. My apologies again on this.
