[/quote]Thanks for letting me know. I should have paid more attention to the emails. All auctions are standard auctions, the only other type is Dutch auction which is not being used. I will look at the emails to make them more dynamic.

Will there be an option to sort by time listed? I’d like to see what new things came out since I last checked!

I listed a baby carrier. I feel like there needs to be an additional category. Maybe a children’s category. FYI: I chose the baby carrier to add some diversity to the marketplace.

I have 10 items on there now. I added a bunch of my photographs to sell… adding to the diversity :)

This is actually really great, my 360 broke a while ago so I might consider selling some of my games on there. Really great idea and awesome job so far!

A question:
Will there be an option to filter on ‘country from’ and ‘country to’ so someone can see all items sold in his own country and/ delivered to his country?

Suggestions for added content to the marketplace:
- Buyer/Seller Message Outbox
- A autosend payment request that is pre filled by seller upon a buy it now or end of auction.
- A second chance account reactivation email ability like the recover password.
- Date/Time configurable to seller local time–i even played with these using firefox add on and marketplace site kept reverting back to marketplace time.

We’re down to 28 auctions. It’s time for another push. Also, we need to somehow encourage buying. I would list more things if I had a single bid. I started the price for my three auctions at 0.99 FTC, that’s a deal for almost anything.

newbie here… is the market still going strong?

I’m no prude… but I think its a little off-putting seeing adult sex toys on the main home page of the Market Place. Comes off as a little “sleazy” in my opinion. Especially if your viewing the site from work. It could be a little embarrassing having a co-worker walk up from behind you to find that your on a site that sells Fleshlights… lol
Maybe we can place adult items somewhere where they’re not as visible to the general public or “jumping” straight out at you from the home page.
Just my two cents. Otherwise I think the Market Place looks awesome and I look forward to putting some stuff up for sale!

The market site has not been forgotten and does indeed need some work if it is going to attract users. First of all the escrow system, we have had feedback from both sides of the system and will be making improvements. Some documentation for the site is going to be created soon too.
There are several more exciting things to do with this site in the future but right now it simply needs to do what it does but better.
