There’s a thread/poll on Bitcointalk with the title “Will FeatherCoin Rise in value to be on par or out-perform LTC, or no?”
      https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231639.0

Maybe we can participate in that poll ;)

i would expect it to be 1/4 of the value seeing as there is 4x amount of coin, but feathercoin is more dynamic and is adapting to challanges it faces so might be logical to assume it might surpass but there would be alot of litecoin miners who would hate ftc not that there isnt already

And this is why I suspect this to be the origin of the recent attacks on Feathercoin.
Litecoin and Litecoin owners have a lot to lose.

The lazy who expected a cushy lifestyle are angry with us not kissing their asses.

Well, maybe I was a little harsh when I said we don’t need miners, miners need us, but the fact is power and addiction have similar dynamics.

Don’t accept tyrants from the beginning and they’ll give up eventually.

Did we need great big miners during the attacks, not exactly? We needed pools of miners, as I’ve said before, and they came to us because of the jump in price. And as we can see it was the big guns who whined and gloated the most.

Also if we are in constant dependency on miners because we’re constantly under attack, this would invalidate cryptocoins as an ecosystem. Why would we use a means of commerce that is constantly full of two year olds with big toy guns? Make these tempermental wankers work for the coins.

But the key is taking responsibility for the ecosystem. By rejecting the idea that we need them to exist, and, by extension, that we should give up serving the general public and only serve miners, we prevented something worse. We barrelled through to “Then they attack you” pretty quick.

There is an ecosystem of pools, miners, communities, and inventors. We have no passive users. We are all producers and users. We are here to stay no matter what the coin looks like in a year.

great post! i think feathercoin could out perform litecoin as long as the devs and mods keep the coin community based. It’s funny there are so many haters yet the price will keep going up due to the community. I just prefer to sit back and watch. :)
