I’m curious how much hashes/sec my bicycle would output going 5 mph. :P

Not very much if it still uses old chain technology. But if you happen to have a bike that has a shaft drive, you could get about 200khash/s I rekon.
smoothly transfers power from the pedals to the rear wheel using highly efficient and durable gears instead of a sprocket and chain.
All depends on how many carbon fibers per wheel you have. Scrypt doesn’t use cycles like sha256. It’s much more circle intensive.

Now if you have a Internal Gear hub then you’re laughing.
So unlike chain bikes that have fully exposed (external) sprockets and derailleurs, internal gear hubs compress all of this gearing into a compact, highly efficient cylindrical component (hub) inside the rear axle. This internal gear hub integrates seamlessly with our shaft drive to create incredibly efficient shifting and smooth speed changes. Shimano’s internal gear hubs require very little maintenance and are lifetime sealed and lubricated to safely protect them from dirt, debris and damage.
Easily around 1000+ khasks/s

If you overpedal, then YMMV obviously.

          Not many people know this.

For what my phone cost I would rather not reduce its lifespan for no real reason.

It is more of a novelty or proof of concept. It would not be profitable even if the phone was free I would imagine.

Nope, all shares accepted by my ftc pool. Took my regular miner offline to see if I got credit for those shares and did.

How many people open wallets when we sent them .1 of a coin? I don’t think it matters so much as how much they mine, but they’re able to get something to get them started down this crypto rabbit hole. I’m all about helping a mainstream audience find us.

The entire reason I got into LTC was some site gave away 0.25LTC if you commented on their article. Since then I’ve amassed a healthy amount of LTC. If we’re trying to get people to open wallets and experiment with the currency then why not do something similar? It would also encourage reading of FTC articles. Food for thought
