Seems the network skyrockets (5+Ghash) until the difficulty goes up, then plumets to below 1GHash.
When the difficulty then goes down again it skyrockets again.

This is not lucrative for those of us sticking to feathercoin. Those coinjumpers gets easy coins, then we have to work to get the coins back to “easy” again. And when we finally do, those people are back again to mine the shit out of ftc…

Is there something that can be done with this?, Luckily its 41,4% max diff increase which stops it stranding at to high diff like before the last hardfork.

What can be done about this, and is something being done?

May a posibility be that the diff target time is hybrid, either by certain block change or time target?

Huge discussion on difficulty change in the forum already. When I get back from vacation, I will outline all the different proposals and meet with Bushstar. Personally, I like more of a dynamic approach similar to PPC.

LTC is protected by the amount of hash, that’s it. If it dropped to some of the same levels as other alts, it would have the same issues.

I think this issue will solve soon as most of low diff jumpers will just stick to FTC … it is inevitable ;D

Yeah the mining difficulty goes up and down on most of these currencies a lot and especially when they gain traction which makes it hard for people to profitably mine.
