We do seem to be generating blocks just a little bit faster than the last few days, people must be getting wind of the fork and starting to inch back in.

Now that we have the block adjust in our sites and Coinotron is running a pool for Feathercoin, I have gone and asked for support in the mining forum over at BitcoinTalk. Coinotron is a trusted site and should sway some people on its reputation.

Moved my rigs from sodaboxes to racks out in the sheed (had heat issue in the room).
Blasting 7000 Khash at ftc now.

Have 6 more cards idle in my shelf that i havent gotten upp yet, will add them in the next couple of days to make it an even 10Mhash.

For reference if nobody see me in the pools thats because im going to try solomining for a while.

If someone need motivation to why they should start mining.
Ive earned 4300 USD in 2 months mining… The rate the cryptocurrency is going now i see a profitable future for miners
Hell i can actually finish my Computer Engineer degree without needing to get me a part time job, if the profit stays where it is…

Nice setup. I’ve been thinking of moving out on to racks. I may have a decent case but still it is not practical to wedge three cards in it for mining.

It looks like you are running some PCI-x 1x risers running to the cards.

What risers are your running, do you have to run any 16x cables and are any of them powered?

i use pci-1x to 16x and 16x to 16x extensions
bought at ebay. not powered. havent had any problem when
driving 6 cards from one mobo.

if you think of purchasing such extensions do order a couple
of extras. they break easily and soldering them again is quite difficult

damn once again im having heat issues.
especially on the 6970’s
who would have though that the temperature outside would climb to
25degres as soon as i moved the rig…
need bigger fans:P

Perhaps you need to strap some desk fans on to your rack. I’ve had to do this to my 7950s as they were hitting 100C and throttling down. I am managing to squeeze 625KH/s out of them which has impressed me. I’ve spent a lot of time fighting with 7970s in the past and have found the 7950s much easier to work with. I have 1800KH/s running total and have a some more kit in the post to allow me to run an old 5870 and a 6850 I now have spare.

Allready have 2 fans at the bottom angled from where theres a hole for fresh air to be sucked in.
I also have a 410mm fan in front of the rack for getting the heat away from the rack and towards the door (have an airgap both in top and bottom of the door).
However as of now its allmost 40degrees in there.

Cant wait for the night to come so i can get the temp down, this has to be fixed, i want to mine 24/7!
Theres also support to be 6 extra cards in a second rack there, but before that i need to solve the heat issue. theres 2x120mm behind the 69xx rig also, but still 2 of the 6970 overheats, one of them reached 101 degres.

Will go to the store at tuesday (holiday closed), also awaiting 4x 230mm computer fans which i will mount one in each section.
