\[solved\] Missing coins \* Old client not synced Update & Try --rescan --reindex

I have had another support request from one of our SMS Wallet users who has transfered some coins to Feathercoin QT on the Mac. SMS Wallet worked perfectly but when the coins hit the QT Client some problems emerged
## Begin Message ##
There’s a transaction on: http://explorer.feathercoin.com/address/71cPFnvVMjgTmziurGtqpj384c69bS8PpE - that I didn’t make (it’s for 218.68 FTC going out on 2013-10-05 12:50:38). There’s no log of it on my wallet which is weird and it’s brought the balance down on that address.I believe that last transaction was actually the 10FTC I send to myself, but I’ve been over-charged by the transaction fee I think. My feathercoin client isn’t working anymore and there’s a message at the bottom (with I’ve attached a pic of). I need to try using the same wallet on another computer.

Tell him to:
Quit feathercoin qt
open terminal.
1. cd /Application/Feathercoin-qt/Contents/MacOs/
2. ./Feathercoin-Qt --resyncSee if this helps.

They need to make sure that they are on 0.6.4.4 and then delete their blockchain and database folder as outlined in the email you sent before.

Hi Guys,Does anyone know a way to get the -rescan option working on Mac?
This is what I tried:
Using terminal, navigated to feathercoin Qt app location. Then ran this
/Feathercoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Feathercoin-Qt -rescan
Then feathercoin qt opened up but I couldn’t see it rescanning and I also have a payment that doesn’t appear to be broadcast properly (this is the reason I was running rescan)
Any help for getting rescan on mac would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

EDIT:
Actually after about an hour of waiting the faulty transaction has now been confirmed so perhaps this rescan did work after all. There was no notifcation of it on feathercoin qt but it seems to have worked.
So perhaps this in fact useful to other mac users who may encounter this problem.

Thanks very much for your help, he removed all Feathercoin files and reinstalled it and it is now working again.
