Also I have no idea how to use hot water right now ;D
What temperature do you think it would move them to? Boiling?

Could be constantly churning out tea or maybe drip brew coffee.

The coffee shop owner I crash with on weekdays would be elated by this since he wants to futz around with crypto but wanted a value add to it.

I have no idea, this is my first water-cooling system I am building.
(Dimessions and price of both erupters and heatsink was just so tempting :) )

They are pretty hot when I touch them with finger, but still only 2.5W.
After overclocking it should be 3.5W x 8 = 28W, not much…seems only small volume of water will be needed.

I will definitely measure the temperatures after I recieve the goods and assemble it together ;)

This is really cool. I did a post a while ago asking if someone could build a crypto miner that doubled up as a space heater, so that people could heat their homes over winter while making coins and processing payments on the network.

I see this project viable for some smaller-scale aplication due to low power:
Maybe can protect pipes or tank with liquid from freezing in winter or something like this…(i.e. in garage).
Maybe I can keep water for my 2 cats drinkable during winter.
There was good idea of keeping warm coffe mentioned above.
Far from warming house (unless you have some high-tech passive beast house), but might be usefull :)

I have those arctic 92mm usb fan (one on each 20 port hub). BUT i also have a dedicated windmachine (that fucker can push air! when i mount it on a window so it pushes hot air out in that room. the door in the back will close itself due to vacum!). Overkill but i have alot less hw errors with this cooling ;D

Damm,

Another idea was born in my head:

[s]Heat[/s] Keep warm your cup of tea while mining BTC!

Two erupters under circle metal plate can do the job!!

My errupters (another bunch) just arrived, but I still have to wait for my USB hub.
It is breaking my heart.
