Can i have an idiots explanation (of exchanges)

hi, i’ve already got bit coins which i bought from localbitcoins.com, i have them in my wallet now on my desktop so i’m not a complete idiot? but crypto trade was recommended to me and i’m completely lost on there? i think i can figure out how to get some bit coins into it but i just can’t fathom all the charts and numbers. can someone explain to me like they were explaining to a 10 year old? i would like to buy some feather coins on there.

also bittylicious has come up on here too, however i can’t see who i am trading with, unlike on localbitcoins.com, am i missing something? should i be able to see other traders, if the answer is no then how can you trust where you are buying from?
