ok heres a Question,

im very new to this and i love feathercoin i think it has potential, ive been playing around with my gtx580!! i know

i have been given free power (yay) and want to invest in some ATI cards, i dont really wanna spend that much initally as i wanna see how it goes before committing more, im willing to spend about £300 ish on cards, what do you reckon will be the best cards for hasrate for that cash? i have been looking at gpu benchmarks for litecoin hashrates and i have a few cards in mind.

or shall i buy ASIC miners and convert them down to FTC?

as you guys are vets here i just wondered if you were a “noob” what would you do with your cash and what would you buy?

Hey kiltedjock!

First of all Welcome to our Feathercoin Community, nice to have you here! :)
If you want you can add yourself to our FeathercoinMap local.feathercoin.com

So about your question:

If you got free power, I would advise you to buy a AMD 7970, a 7970 is pushing out 730 kh/s. It should be the best to invest into.

Thats my thought, but Iam not an expert so if someone got a better advise, feel free to correct me :)

Regards,
ChekaZ

Hi Checkaz.

i did add myself a few weeks ago to that map :D

i was thinking more along the lines of x2 7950’s as looking as that chart some 7970’s can get as low as 500Kh/s, id be paranoid at spending the cash on something thats that low?

I’m in a similar position I would tend to agree with your choice ebuyer have some 7950 s for about £200. When I first started I bough a few very cheap 6670 and I now wish I hadn’t so don’t fall into that trap.
