Hi,
I came to the forum because I downloaded the feathercoin qt and installed it, but its not syncing at all.
I tried to start with litecoins, but had some serious issues with guiminer I havent corrected yet. In the meantime, I downloaded FTC qt for a friend and saw that one could mine directly from the interface. I wanted to have something going on in the background. However when I loaded up feathercoin, it won’t sync. I have no idea why not. I let it sit for a while, hoping it would take time. No go. I read somewhere that if two wallets were installed, one takes precedence. I downloaded a process killer and killed everything I could find related to lite coin (its a long sync so I didn’t want to uninstall it).
So, that still didn’t work and I don’t know how to make feather coin sync.
That is why I’m in the forum. Hoping someone can help me solve it.

I would like to thank my friend, Murphy’s Law, for helping me get Feather Coin to sync. I read on the forums before I signed up that when feathercoin wouldn’t sync to just wait. So I tried that. I tried and tried, for 48 hours. Nada. I come here, say Oh Noes! I can’t get it to sync! Wake up this morning. Open up the program. And boom. Syncing. Now, Muprhy’s Law is fickle, and if you are too grateful to Dr. Law, Murphy will taketh what it hath giveth…so don’t be surprised if I’m back in here tomorrow with a program that is being difficult!
Also, a few things I did between last night and opening FTC-qt. I closed nearly all of my chrome windows. I closed microsoft word. I ran a malawarescan. I removed a non mining related pup. I discovered I hadn’t removed all the traces of guiminer and removed that too.
I honestly don’t know if that had anything to do with it. But, I did it. So. there’s that.
