      I’ve installed FeatherCoin-QT v0.6.4.4 on a Mac running OS X 10.8.5

All went well - I’ve installed other coin clients on the same machine so know the score.

      I accepted ‘allow incoming connections’.

I encrypted the empty wallet and left it to catch up with the network, which I can see has started (got to ‘up to 151 days ago, 36.25% done’).

It’s still at the same place even though I have 19 active connections.

I would delete, re-install and start from scratch but stupidly I already send a considerable number of feather coins to the wallet from an exchange - which at the moment I cannot access.

      Any suggestions?

      TY!

You could try restarting the client with -rescan as a command line. You can reinstall, your wallet is kept in a separate directory, however it seems to be working, it looks like you just need time to get sync’d.

You can always backup your wallet, which can be imported into any other install, by copying in the Wallet.dat. The wallet just keeps your keys, the coins are in the Blockchain database (safety deposit boxes).

Can you go to the help / debug console / and try typing getpeerinfo?

Hi, I have the same problem, so I register here :). I think 0.6.4.4 stop working after some synced date or block - my debug.log shows that is “getblocks 84423…” I tried to delete whole database and indexes and tried to catch that all from the beginning, but I saw progress bar syncing and suddenly (about 50 days point) progressbar disappeared. I think 0.6.4.4 is unusable any more.

          getpeerinfo:

I’ve been out all day. Came back in to find my client up to date - and my coins in my wallet!

I think I just needed to be a bit more patient.

But it is odd that it seemed to get stuck for hours at the same point isn’t it. Won’t be good for promoting the coin. Most people will try to install the client and sync it before buying in I reckon. This could be putting a lot of people off.

PS. Major crypto crash just happened! Eeek

I had it running for days and nothing synced after that point.
