There was a problem with FTC withdrawals. Everything is working now.

I have about 140 LTC and almost 2000 FTC that I have no acces to :(

I have sent a message to toork today 1.7.2013, will report back if I get an answer, but it seems like I was naive enough to trust the high interest rates and probably lost all my hard earned money because of it

People, keep your coins in your possession unless you are exchanging for another type of coin or fiat.

If you don’t “hold” it you don’t own it.

Sorry to hear this. Maybe some sort of community trust system could be implemented and sites could get a Feathercoin Community Seal of Approval or something similar after enough people have voted them worthy. It could work kind of like PayPal Verify or Authorize.net’s merchant seal program.

Then again, that’s probably a lot of work that will stop nothing … just brainstorming. Mean people suck.

I’m afraid we cannot release any kind of official approval for such services unless real guarantees for their transparency provided. What we need is a community controlled service like one offered by Blockchain.info for BTC where all wallets are kept private and encrypted, see how it works actually. If the project gets down or whatever else happens, users may import their private keys into regular wallets.

I’m just amazed at how many people put their trust into online wallets controlled by other people. If I tell you that I’ll hold your fiat for you, would you wire me all your money?

Well you do that with a bank :D

That didn’t work out too well for the Cypriots. May not work out so well for the rest of us in the future either. ;)

Just an update for anyone following, someone at the litecoin forums posted an interesting information if anyone in the USA wants to forward this information to law enforcement:
Their Google Analytics code: UA-40041908-1
Their Google Recaptcha API ID: 6LcLld8SAAAAAC7T6UPrpT2z039dg27xy3ROW6Nr

At least in that case you can walk to your local branch and complain, serve them court papers, etc.

In this case, there aren’t many ways to approach it. Most laws are not in place to have any recourse.

Crypto gives the users control of their money. anyone who sends their coins to some anonymously run site goes against the very purpose of why it was created.

I noticed he stopped in a few days ago. I just PMd a follow-up email, he has 4 days to respond to the allegations. After that, it’s ban hammer.
