IMPORTANT: Talking to a fairly well known (in their segment) casual gaming co

A big +1 but the biggest question, how we going to get the coins?

A big +1 but the biggest question, how we going to get the coins?
There’s a couple ideas being tossed around… If worse comes to worse, I might purchase a crapload of coins and might donate it as a marketing expense. As for the game coins, that’s a whole different story… that’s why this is still the beginning, it’s an interesting puzzle… I’m just excited there’s actual interest.

Great idea!
I hope for a feathercoin NLH poker site soon. Strategy games for FTC would be very appealing.

Sounds interesting!

Here’s something I believe most of the FTC community understands over the general crypto crowd… while we might love the nerd factor in the currencies, it’s very unappealing to the general public. I love my mom, she’s not planning on building a 10 card rig any time soon. In terms of casual gaming, the ideas need to be successfully explained within 15 seconds and executed in about that same time frame. If you’re not in the space, you would be surprised how much time goes into investigating making an interface as intuitive as possible.
While much of the crypto community will scream that this algorithm doesn’t do x,y,z… the real money doesn’t care… doesn’t care at all about that ‘nonsense’. People want an amazing experience, I believe we have the right community to meet the demands of different segments while working on all the nerd-factors behind closed doors.

I spent way too many hours working on this project today. There’s a lot of hand-holding attempting to explain this community and how’s mutually beneficial. Lots of storyboarding and Camtastic quick vids.
It’s 3am, as I’m about to fall asleep I’m reminded of every single ‘Truth Teller’ on certain coin sites telling us FTC is a scam coin. I think about every biased, idiotic, ignorant comment from certain people that have been around those particular boards too long and I get back to work. :) You see, a majority of my drive is to push the community forward… but I’ll honest, there’s a part of me that’s just ready to smile when we start living up to this coin’s potential. The truth is, the coin itself is a great piece of tech… you guys are the ones that make this experience amazing. It’s something some can’t wrap their head around… but believe me, they will. If I need to walk around with flyers all summer or dress up as a Feathercoin mascot, so be it.
In the end, I want to look back at my time with Feathercoin and feel like I was part of something amazing. Now, we just need to decide who is going to play Bushstar in the A&E documentary. :)

Amazing idea Just…No really! I know for sure I will play, but most of all I know my young son would suddenly find an REAL interest in Feathercoin other than the boring stuff that is available now (his words not mine) :). This could be potentially massive, simply because kids love all of that yocash and trading stuff, I should know as my lad has just been grounded for buying £50+ of yocoins via SMS. >:(

You mean there would be a reward (in the form of FTC) as a result of playing?
I know I probably should have waited to bring it up (because of details I have to leave out) but I couldn’t help myself. One idea is to reward players in FTC based on playing. Others deal with a new type of exchange with gamecoins (not the crypto gamecoin alt released on btctalk) against FTC.
I’ve made my intention known from day 1 here. While I love working with the crypto community, this coin needs to expand to the less techy sector and into everyday purchases. This might no go anywhere, I’m not concerned. If we knock on enough doors, we’re going to see amazing results. Let the other forums waste time flaming and trying to ‘out cool’ each other… we put our heads down, have some fun and get to work.
Man, you should be CEO of the internet. Seriously, you’ve got an insanely brilliant attitude that makes me want to hand out flyers on my street, lol.
Everything you’ve said in that post is everything I feel about FTC.
Damn, I wish I had a business or something apart from word of mouth to help more. But I can tell you that never more than recently have I been considering upgrading the bits in this old dog, and it’s not to play skyrim. !
Awesome stuff mate!
