Hej Guys!

I’m from The Netherlands and heard from a relative about the online currency and quickly got soaked up in it.
I couldn’t figure out why i didn’t hear from it before cause work in IT.
I work a daily job from 0800 to 1700 and in that time I could easily let my home PC mine for me. (AMD GPU)

So I recently started mining on my gaming rig since I don’t use it in the daytime.
but suddenly after a restart of the rig while I was tweaking my .batfile cgminer won’t fire up anymore and gives the message cgminer.exe has stopped working.

Here is what I did;

i’m using cgminer 3.1.0
CCC (castalyst control center) wasn’t working, I fixed that by deleting all the AMD/ATI drivers, and reinstalling it. (v.13.152.1.8000)
after that CCC was working and I was tweaking my GPU Mhz rate. all going well.

but after another restart scminer is not going past the “[2013-12-12 09:40:51] Starded cgminer 3.1.0” screen and gives me the cgminer.exe has stopped working notification.

what I already tried;

Different cgminers ;
3.1.1
3.7.0
3.8.0

changing my .bat in just the basic file:

original that was working:

set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://pool2.d2.cc:3333 -u Username -p Password --intensity 13 --worksize 256 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 12224

Basic .bat that I tried:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://pool2.d2.cc:3333 -u Username -p Password --intensity 5

still no results in different cgminers.
Did a basic uninstall of the AMD Drivers again and the AMD APP SDK 2.9
reinstalled them, didn’t work…

what am I missing?

would it help to completely delete all AMD/ATI drivers again like I did to get CCC working? cause I basicly did that already to get CCC working and cgminer worked afther that.

this is the link on how I did the complete remove.

any help would ben greatly appreciated!

EDIT

I tried some different .bat files and it seemed to work again! so then I tried the original .bat file again and that also worked! Have no clue why, cause when I closed it and opened it again it wouldn’t work…
so I gave that a couple shots and sometimes it works sometimes it crashes… could it be my internet speed or maybe the pool I ty to mine in? can’t find the logic in this one :(

Hi,

Im running only Linux so could be wrong in the syntax for Windows but did it run before ?
Does the card shows up with ‘aticonfig --lsa’
Does it show up with ‘cgminer -n’
Try deleting the .bin file

3.7.2 is the last version of CGMINER to support scrypt mining

Sounds like you still has some old amd drivers laying around there.
This is a reaaaally typical problem with 13.1-4 range drivers. It do sound like you havent cleaned away the old drivers properly first.
