Hi Friends,

I am newbie for FTC mining so can you please check if
the math I got here is ok:

I have mined on - wemineftc for exactly 12 hr
at hash rate: 1600Kh/s and I got 13 FTC
when the calc promises to get ~17 FTC at least.

is it sound reasonable or I am missing something ?

Thanks in advance.

remember that if your mining a pplns pool theres rampup time.

and then theres the luck part. you could get 30 or zero all depending on luck…
if you are frustrated with not getting what the calc says maybe a pps pool is more up your alley

So what’s the bottom line ?
Is the 25% diff from a calculator
something exceptional ?
Or a metaphysical standard ? :)

Don’t worry, 1600/khs is really good!

its based on luck and the calc take average of hashpower versus diff level.
so statisticly you should have 17, but this goes up and down from day til day.
over time it should even out the high and lows.
but this is the reason why many prefer pps pools

Are you using a pay per share pool? From what i’ve read the estimation is more accurate using PPS.

This is off topic, and an assumption, so if i’m offbase - i apologize.

Try these settings in your cgminer bat file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o HOSTNAME:PORT -u USER -p PASS --intensity 13 -g 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 995 --gpu-memclock 1600

That should bump each card up to 680Kh/s

If you want to overclock a bit more to get to 740Kh/s use 1050/1750 for engine/mem

Shouldn’t raise your temps more than a few degrees.

PPS is spot on vs the calculated, minus pool fee and the transision when diff gets adjusted.

EDIT:
Presuming your mining on a trusted pool which doesnt skimp on sharevalue etc, PPS is spot on.

Nut2pools way to go :D Switched from others since :

1.Workers alarm are more or less accurate (as from another pool was getting alarm 5h+ late :D )
2. Pool always on, website works as charm
3. Automated payout email message is so sweet :)

Downside : 3% fee - but that’s the way the cookie rolls, as running servers cost, not to mention issues arising here and there …

Back to bloody rig, as still fighting over 5 GPU’s :D

Your ~500k pe GPU hashrate with the “low” fan looks like 7950 normal clock with default startup parameters.

with 1.6MHs you should get around 20-30 FTC per day - and there is the clou… per day, and even there is a lucky part.

So:

1. post the startup command you use (with 3.7.2 the setx should not be necessary anymore)
2. let it run 24hrs to showup your earning… really low runtimes are only used to check HW, hashrate etc (5-15min), real values need their time.

3% is because of it beeing PPS pool, Which in my opinion is to little.
3% margin and payout no matter what luck the pool has.
