I’m in the Nut2pools.com FTC pool, and my 2 7950s are pimping out the hashes. I run cgminer 3.3.0, and about an hour ago my best share was about 1.5M. I just came back to the computer and got into cgminer to turn down the intensity from 18 to 13 so I could watch some youtube videos, and when the screen came back up, I noticed that FTC difficulty was 10.7M, and my best share was now 15.1M !

Yay, first block I found! I know, not a huge deal, but it’s the first one of these I’ve seen. Now I’m thinking it sure would be nice if the person who finds a block got a triple share or something like that! 8)

I’m yet to solve my first block. Or if I had I never noticed.

One could say I’m ultra jelly but I’m sure in time I too shall find my first block.

          Congrats man!

            Yeah this could be done.
However do you think its a good idea to increase the fee % to have this “feature”?
Currently the pool is running at 3%, which is at a bare minimum for running a PPS pool, especially with the kind of dedication from nutnut with Cloudflare pro, nodes across the continents, dedicated server and not to mention him sitting there almost 24/7 on support and maintenance. The pool was under DDOS yesterday, did you notice?
Imo it should be bumped to 5%, now if there was supposed to be even an “bonus” for block finders, the fee should be increased to 7%.

Not quite as fun anymore is it ::)

Not trying to be harsh or anything, just realistic regarding values, i know
some pool promises block find bonus for the first X blocks, but that imo just seems like a “PR” stunt to get hash rate on their newly started pool.
Usually this only lead to the pool staying alive for a month and voila its gone again.

However, sweet you found your first block ;)

            EDIT:
Not sure it is clear to people, I’m no longer a part of the Nut2Pools. Had to step back due to personal reasons.
Meaning what I’m saying is not official Nut2pools statements, but my own personal opinion.

I hadn’t reset my CGminer yet, and it was still showing 15.1M as the best share, but it looks like I found another block this morning. Best share jumped to 17.4M, and I checked on the pool page and it shows it there too!

Too bad you can’t scroll UP the scrolling text in the CGminer window, I’d like to see if it prints a specific line saying I found a block.

If the difficulty is 11.2M (as it is right now), then why do some blocks get a much higher difficulty number when solving a block as best share, like my 15.1M and 17.4M? Does that mean the cryptographic hash answer that a GPU gave was qualified to be considered a found block not only at this difficulty, but at a higher difficulty as well?

The mailman brought my third 7950 yesterday, so I could set up the other mining PC, mine more, and add to the electric bill now!

I have read this post and, i have gone to the Pool Block Finder Stats and i have seen that I have founded a block too !!

Somebody knows if we found a block, the pool pays more to the miner?

I would like to spend the FTCs in UK. C’mon minners!!!
