was thinking do we need a news part on board to post latest news etc for easy reading?

There is a pinned Post at the top of the Discussion thread for posting News Items. Thanks for finding that as well…
There are a lot of “features to the forum”, which the community has added over the last 8 months. It has evolved to this stage, so you may not see some features straight away.
It is a balancing act, eg. the “Guides sub section” tidys the forum, but is harder to spot for new members…
Currently there is a forum revamp review. You may find it interesting or have useful contributions as it is a Feathercoin community project.
