I have 2 questions concerning my solo mining client please. I am using CGminer, all of the miners are pointed to single unit/server, everything is updated, in the client wallet, under mining tab, do I click ‘start mining’ or does it automatically start mining? #2. How can I tell if the miners are working? In CGminer message reads ‘new block found, new block detected on network’. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

Hey!

All you need is to open your client and point your miner towards it.

How to point your miner towards it:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:9337 …

Thats all you need, if the miner connects and doesnt show up an error, you are solomining!

If you got one block its shown as Accepted. -> A:1 in CGminer
You wont see any other result, it wont submit shares or anything, just if your share matches, you’ll get 1 accepted -> you’ll get the block reward.

The mining tab in the client is only for CPU mining, you dont need that at all.

Regards,
