At the moment there’s a lot of coins out there. Likely some will survive and some won’t. I thought about another possible scenario.

When you look in your physical wallet you already use multiple currencies every day to buy goods and services (bear with me on this). So in the crypto world it could be possible to have the following scenario:

      $10,000 = Coin A
      $1,000 = Coin B
      $500 = Coin C
      $100 = Coin D
      $50 = Coin E
      $10 = Coin F
      $5 = Coin G
      $1 = Coin H
      $0.5 = Coin I
      $0.1 = Coin J
      $0.05 = Coin K
      $0.01 = Coin L

Comparing to $ is just an arbitrary symbol to demonstrate the principle of using multiple cryptos on a daily basis. A crypto wallet could hold all of the coins at the same time and manage the tranfer of the appropriate amounts to the recipient. It’s akin to the way a debit card works.

The jewel in the crown would probably be to become the coin that prices are quoted in.

There are too many reasons why it just can’t work (it hurts my head to try and decide which is the worst reason - they’re all as bad as each other) but I thought I’d share it anyway.

I don’t think crypto’s will work like that.

mBTC and uBTC and so on will work just fine, isn’t it?

No they won’t. mBTC and uBTC especially tell us that BTC overlords have more influence than anyone.

I for one will not use crumbs of a currency unless it’s big ones like doge and kitteh and lottocoin.

I meant the mu in front of coins instead of other coins being a partial of the main value.
