Hello, I’m a new miner and started building a miner this Christmas and things are going okay, but there are one thing i don’t understand. When i got my RM850W psu i just got three (pigtail) pci-e connectors. do i get the full 150w+75w from the connectors? if i where to guess i would say i only got the 150w from that setup but i don’t know, therefore i ask you guys. I also added a drawing too better visualize my question.

I read it makes no difference. I have it like this since the beginning.

Some PSU’s use custom connectors. My 2x Lepa 850 watts have 1 split 2x 6+2 pin and then 2 straight 6+2 pin for modular connectors. That dual 6+2 pin pigtail should be able to deliver 300+ watts.

Thanks, that’s good too know. i don’t think i will encounter any problems if I’m using a normal riser, but with powered risers I’m afraid i won’t get enough power. Or if i have understood it correctly, forcing too many amps on the cables.
