Hi everybody. I’m thinking about turning my computer into an simple mining rig. I have a P45 Neo-F (MS7519-010) motherboard which supports GPUs with PCIe 2.0. My question is, does it make sense to put a PCIe 3.0 GPU on this mainboard or is the performance loss to high? I’ve heard different things. Some people say the loss is neglectable and some say it is not. What do you think? If you think it doesn’t make sense: Are there any good PCIe 2.0 GPUs with good hash rates? I know I just could buy a new mainboard because they are not that expensive but then I need a new CPU and RAM too, so I try to change my system as little as possible.
I’m happy for every useful and kind comment (and of course you get rewarded for helpful responses).
      Greetings! :)

Looking at your board on the net you have the following sockets available to you

        1 x PCI-Ex16 (The long blue one)
2 x PCI-Ex1 (The 2 short white ones next to it)
3 x PCI (The 3 white ones next to them)

So with the correct risers you could stick 3 PCI-E GPU’s in the motherboard without any issues, for mining the speed difference is not noticeable.

You can use a riser similar to this one in every slot, you don’t need a full size riser for the larger (blue) slot without any issues

        Hope this helps
