Its indubitably (like this word huh! huh!) clear that we have a few nuts, so lets work on the movement. I am all ears gentlemen.

In regards to the Crypto Movement, I think we’re already at that tipping point.

If one could class Feathercoin as a movement, I believe that the likes of Bushstar, Kevlar, ChrisJ, iawgoM, spynapples, wrapper, svennand, Ruthie, Tuck, zerodrama, sheepson, Pyxis, mirrax, ChekaZ, kris, Entimp, Ghostlander, d2, nutnut, HopeStillFlies, Wellenreiter mnstruck, aysyr, Pryderi, etc etc etc etc are all “the shirtless guy”. (Sorry if any founders weren’t mentioned here)

You guys have started a movement in my opinion. It’s an incredibly powerful community that also has reached it’s tipping point.

Did Ghostlander watched this video before resuscitating PXC? I wouldn’t be surprised ;D

Kevlar, great post my friend!

This is precisely what the crypto world is going through.

We are the dancing nuts and now that there are some followers, we are a the point where we either begin our expontial growth, or the followers turn to stonger leaders, and we reach our expontial decline.

You said take a few minutes and do this. And i did it.

Now, tomorrow or next week, what could everyone of us do that would take 15 minutes, and as a group, would rapidly change feathercoin. AKA “The 15min feathercoin challenge”

E.g.

Every retailer you visit this week, ask “do you accept feathercoin instead of credit card, you know that would give you around 2% more profit”

or

Go to 10 “main stream articles” and post postively about feathercoin.

I used to be apart of a marketing action group. They broke it down like this.

Paragraph on the product
Paragraph on the action needed.
One sentence on the product
One Sentence on the action needed
No go!

I do this every third or fourth new shop I go to. I ask if they accept feathercoin. They always say no, but then they ask, “what is that?”.

It’s a great conversation starter. I just tell them “it’s kinda like paypal but with practically no fees and that no one can issue the currency, just advanced computer algorithms do, and that it’s also like torrents with people running there home computers help process the transactions and get rewarded with newly issued digital coins.”

Get’s most peoples attention. Some at the end say, “oh it’s like that bitcoin thing”. My response is “yes, but better.”

It’s as layman as an explanation I can come up with. Most people understand crypto’s when they’re pitched like that. From a businesses perspective, it sounds very tempting to find out more.

If I can get 1 random stranger who owns a business a week to just simply google feathercoin or even crypto currency. I think I’m on my way to showing people how to do the “shirtless dance”.

I gotta bail to work in 5 mins, so another day, another dance =^-^=

Thanks for sharing; great vid. And Calem, I’m going to modify your elevator pitch and start using it.

Also, I dance like that for reals.

Cool video, and that’s what happens -

I advise Feathercoin not to trick people to follow, that is why I am against give-aways and other mass marketing.

I have studied human psychology and animal psychology as part of my study of Artificial Intelligence techniques and how the brain works.

I would only ever point out those techniques as something to avoid. I know it is possible to make people do a stupid dance, or see one line longer than the other when they are the same size.

I want a way where people can break free of being manipulated by those instincts and get real joy of learning and contributing to human advancement, which I see open source and bitcoin protocol are pioneering. This is the new economy.

At Feathercoin I have only been involved because we have all agreed we need to enpower members to run the currency. That is the only way some currencies can remain as decentralised as possible.

Kevlar’s idea to make it easier to see the code in windows is great example of that. He is trying to teach people how to dance first, and then letting them decide what to do at the festival themselves …

Brilliant. That is how to create leaders, or maybe it could be put, showing individuals how to bring out the leader in themselves.

On Monday I’ll take out $100 from the ATM, ruin it, go in and ask for a new one.
Ruin the new note the next day and ask for a new one. Repeat.
