I feel like this is a baaaad idea. I watched last nights on LuckyCoin and watched a pump and dump occur in 8 minutes. About 30 minutes before that, someone purchased a nice little share. So this guy is sending messages all day, Pump is at XX time. And just before he announces the coin to pump and dump, buys a bunch for himself.
This doesn’t seem good for the community of coins out there.
Thoughts?

I like the idea of a self-policing community. Would there be a way to stop, other than Big Vern getting involved? Anyone know him on that level?

This is irrelevant. If the people are stupid enough to jump on this so what…(they need a lesson anyway).
Making money on Cryptsy is quite easy:
Just buy the coins which lost most value compared to previous pump and wait.
Thats all.

[/quote]Most all are fontas wannabes. They’re like script kiddie pumpers. There are many (I mean many) of these guys nowadays that come and go on Twitter.
That being said, if you’re familiar with their game (and even better befriend a few of them) you can pretty much tell when they’re ready to dump and get out in plenty of time, then get back in lower (if that’s your goal).
I must admit I watch a few of these guys, but I only watch for coins I [i]already own[/i].
Do I like it? Nope.
Does it make me more coin? Yes, 9/10 times it does.
Overall, I think it’s bad for whatever coin it is that’s being p&d. You will see the argument raised that pumps leave the new floor higher than previously … and at times that’s true; but ultimately it ends up keeping the coin from serving any real purpose other than p&d IMO.

My general rule is not to follow or listen to any alleged pump and dumps. I treat the coins I have like a stock and monitor the price changes on Crypto-Trade. If the pump and dumps raise prices then I gain money, however long term these people are considered scammers so I wouldn’t idolize them as they eventually will be caught and forced to stop.

Instead of actually listening to their advice, isn’t it better to just have a bot primed to go on a coin they’re choosing and set an appropriate drop-loss price?

Well, they’re trying again on Saturday but apparently had an abysmal failure today?
Meeeeeeeeeeh. Stick with my usual plan.

they say it’s a failure it was probably not they get all coin from 1.1k to 8k in the 4-5h prior to the “disclose pump coin name” and sold many at high price as many saw the yesterday pattern of pre pump and compete with them to buy, but was buying on already inflate price (another possibility is a whale smarter then them got all their money ). I see it this afternoon but was away at 19h so can’t attend the show. finding the coin was so obvious as it was the coins always moving on cryptsy with starcoin between 15h and 19h.

[/quote]I think my history speaks for itself when it comes to not letting people dictate to me on what to do. My entire point when jumping into this thread was finding a way to turn it to your advantage; ignore the whens and hows they give you. -
