Why mine FTC?

As opposed to mining more profitable altcoin, and then just trade it to FTC?

The profitability gap is quite wide, I expected it to narrow down due to people mining other altcoin and trading it for LTC, but it is still unreasonably wide.

I actually do recommend to do this.
You get alot more FTC, and you help FTC on the exchange by removing the massive sell wall.
