Sat on the throne today and I was wondering, “In theory, what’s to stop you watercooling your rig and using a heat exchanger for residential hot water? What you save on one bill would offset the other?”

      Is this possible?

Yeah great idea I think I’ve seen some posts about people trying that.

Another option would be to try a Thermo Electric Generator (TEG) which will produce electricity from the differences in temperature. Although they are not very efficient.

            Several concerns.

*The cost of the water block/system
*The ability of the heat exchanger. theres alot of heat coming from those gpus.
*if an card breaks, are you gonna take the entire farm down to cut that link?, how many card on one supply chain.
*If you get an leak… i would want my top card getting a leak and dripping water on ALL the cards under/side.

Im guessing there are more issues then i have though of here (tired atm).

I think the idea is good, but i think its to hard to “go through”/to costy

What about using an air/air heat pump ?
So you use the warm air from your rigs and the heat pump compresses it to more/usable heat to warm up some water/liquid til 90degrees or something…
