New Website Launched!
-
Don’t worry, rome and all that.
-
Wow! Awesome. I really like it!
-
Ugh… the new website and forums are just too sexy 8)
-
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
My only note, besides saying yes to clickable buttons - is to start looking for a replacement header image. The current one gets a bit busy around the textual overlay and could be a bit crisper.
How hard would it be to turn the header image into an auto-rotating gallery? We can choose 4-5 images that “explain” Feathercoin’s various aspects. Ie Marketplace - Mining Rig - Community - Freedom [you know, a nice open natural space] - Future [some bright blurred out lights].
Yes exactly. Our intention is to rotate daily or 3 times a week around projects by the members on this forum like Netnerd’s Coins, prostate cancer fund raiser etc.

Nice !
Any new features - or is this the new starting point - look professional though.

**:)****Thanks from me to all who put so much effort into the new Feathercoin web site. ** :D
The commununual action and input was so much more, quicker and effective than any other development method.
In this case a number of members, especially Bush and Chris, put in a lot of extra effort to make it happen. But, it was very pleaseing to see, more and more, small inputs from members. Helping with specification, detail, ideas, artistic and technical suggestions.
I’m sure members can see, from our efforts with the web site development, that Feathercoins aim to make it easier for members to be involved in development is happening in practice and not just in theory.
Your contributions helped to make the new web site a genuine upgrade, well done.

Well said!

+1 Wrapper!

The where to buy link on the home page of the mobile site is dead. It just opens a cloud flare page not found. This was on iOS.
The click here in the paragraph, not the top button."Where to buy?
Once you’ve got yourself a wallet for storing your feathercoin, you can register an exchange and start filling up your wallet with feathercoins of your own. Click here for information on buying feathercoin."
-
Just a small longer term suggestion. I’m very impressed with our new ‘image’ at the next client update, or even sooner, can we make it inline with our excellent new image?
-
I don’t like the new forum look at all, very confusing for me.
The website is good though.
-
Very nice design! Love the new, sexier forums too :)
-
What I dislike more about the forums is the lack of color in posts, it makes it easier to read when subsequent posts have a subtle difference in color, at least for me.

I really like some aspects of the new forum. The editor is awesome, I like per-post voting, and all the functionality I’m looking for is easy to access once you get past the initial learning curve.
What sucks is the skin: It’s got wasted space EVERYWHERE. I’m betting there’s another skin that would be easy to apply that has some of the layout better thought through.

I’m really liking fast replay and a couple of the other features, but the tables or lack of them is screwing up a few things!
I’ve also noticed in some of the old posts the punctuation has gone wonky I’m fixing mine as I find them but I’m not going looking for them
UM

Apparently this can be fixed: http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/6099-table-bbcode/
Yes please, tables are useful for a bunch of things
-
I was quite excited, you can copy and paste tables in, but upon clicking post it just kinda dies.
-
I was looking at the post under the bright yellow button the our front page; “Buying feathercoin”. And under option 3 step 2 it says at the end “And then move on to step 4.” However there is no step 4.

I expect everyone is having a think and exploring the new forum and website. There are definately some improvement that we can make.
It would be good to document the issues in Github so they can be gradually ironed out in an organised manner…
