I have been trying to get an audio recording App for my (portable computer) ex Android smart phone. All of them are deficient so far, for recording music at the pub open mic, they need an input volume control + no auto level and compression.
Anyway, I don’t have a smartphone before, so it struck me we could sponser an enhanced sound recorder, possibly use your crowd sourcing to generate funds to pay an open source project or one of us do the updated android sound recorder on Github.
The logo and start screen could say “Powered by Feathercoins”. Looks a pretty simple project for an App developer? Sponsoring Apps might be a more modern way to get to a wider community.

After much investigation I found RecForge is the best free android sound recorder application (App).
It is free, has 48Khz hi def, has input volume and you can turn off the phones compression / auto volume adjustment.
