I also bought around 3k FTC a couple of days ago. Unfortunately they are worth a lot less than they were 2 days ago… I thought the price might rise but then everybody started selling…

I know that everyone treats it this way, but for me, it’s like poker chips. I play quite a bit of poker when I’m not at work/Feathercoin… I remind myself it’s only chips until I actually cash out. I typically have huge swings but trust that I’ll end up profitable in the end.

Give me a little time to get your stacks where they need to be. I’m now full time Feathercoin, I’m 100% committed to providing value. I suck at A LOT of things in life… this is not one of them.

The attacks remind me of the same political attacks I’ve dealt with in grassroots campaigns. The way to stop a movement is to destroy the base… if you can shake the base enough, you can halt progress. What attackers have to be careful of is the opposite reaction from a grass-roots community. If you #$@# them too much, you now energize the base that’s even more motivated than ever to prove the attacker wrong.

Let’s see what this challenge does to our community.

I’m on a vacation currently with most my wallets offline for safety. If I could, I surely would buy a lot at current price of 0.00070 BTC.

Just let them sell. If you are part of FTC, you will look at months, not days in terms of price. Invest slowly over time, so that extreme price swings don’t affect you that much.

Look at it realistically: there are 6 million FTC already while the coin is still in its infancy, suffering from the backlash of a Hashing power spike and experiencing attacks on the protocol. Of course the weak hands want to get rid of it, on to the next daily_coin_rush.

If you are one of them, sell or hold according to your short term view. If you are in this game for the long term, you can scoop up cheap coins the next few months 8)

The biggest problem I possibly see is getting kicked off BTC-E and Vircurex, but let’s cross that bridge if we ever get there.

BTC-e makes good profits on FTC trade. Daily volumes are highest among all altcoins. Why would they kill a cash cow?

I recently joined this forum and i’m fairly new to cryptos (about a month). I decided just to have fun and try turn few hundred bucks into couple more by day trading. Well it didn’t go as easy as i thought, lol, and after some “genius” trades few btcs turned into just one and eventually less simply because i didn’t understand how the market (i still don’t but at least a bit more than i started) works and bots/big players controlling the price and whatnot.

Anyways, i found this forum trough the infamous btc-e trollbox and just wanted to say that by my somewhat noob experience FTC seems to have by far the top support and community among all the cryptos. That is why i decided to invest my remaining coins to FTC. No bull, or stupid scam attempts etc. Just working hard, contributing and spinning ideas to make things work. Keep up the good work and don’t give up and albeit the recent hardship eventually the price will come!

just purchased 5k ftc. hope tides will turn

have to say this. for “just” beeing another altcoin according to all the trolls
it is surelt put trough alot! pump/dump on btc-e price/ overhashed to throw of target time, and now 51% attack!

Someone must really wish feathercoin to die…
however that seems more and more impossible given the continouse testing of loyality from
the community/creators!
