Does anyone know that the hash rate is incorrect on the forum home page? Right now is says 26.6GHs. Whereas the stats page says 3.2GHs.

There are differences to how the Hash rate is calculated. Because of its probabilistic nature an average is used. For the Feathercoin web site it is sampled over about 30 blocks, the hash rate can appear higher for short periods.

The hash rate can appear high due to strip mining where large hash rates are employed for short periods. Despite the fact that this is only marginally more effective than a lower hash rate spread permanently, they obviously don’t care what effect that has on the stability of a coins hash rate.
