Yeah, could you imagine them rolling back the Bitcoin Blockchain or the FTC every couple of months because of a theft, it’s hilarious, they have no ethics at all, exchanges security problem wasn’t it? They should take responsibility should they not?

Going to be a lot of angry people

Yeah just another exchange hack. Let’s rollback BTC so all the mtgox peeps can get there coins back too.

Imagine the guy who just popped money into that mintpal exchange and pulled out some pretty vericoin. Now he has no money and no coins. The devs have stolen his coins by rolling the blockchain back. But its the exchange who win. I have no idea how any coin can cope with a roll back like that?

                Wow!

And just the other day I was reading in the Troll boxes all these people spouting how great VRC was and how it would soon overtake LTC…

The fact that VRC is even considering a roll back tells me that is a coin I should stay away from.

Wouldn’t a better option be to halt the block chain and make a hard fork that removes all the stolen coins out of the theive’s account and back into mintpals, yes that means they couldn’t get the coins he had already sent on. but it would mean all other transactions don’t get trashed?

I expect VRC price will plummet very quickly now as how can you trust a coint that erases transactions after they have happened with no recourse for the people that received the coins.

There are two sides to any one thing. A green mining approach is a good idea, but the current POS has some shortcomings, this is our chance, we should try to improve this mechanism. We need step by step to get rid of bitcoin effects and Wright . Feathercoin is the Feathercoin, it is not based copy versions of other currencies .

The reality is even a bit more simple. This is the new breed of coins that exist generally only on exchanges. Gamblers buy and sell, but only exchanges actually have wallets. When your network has a single dev and 10 participants, rollbacks are easy. Feathercoin should strive to be the opposite.
