Got the nod from the phoenixcoin team so I can add lots of items for that coin.

Does anyone have any suggestions about other coins to support? I was thinking BTC and maybe even UFO?

I have neoscrypt.net and neoscrypt.co.uk, if you wanted them pointing at the page. We could then represent the current crop of Neoscrypt coins.

Just had a thought to help promote this and the launch of Neoscrypt for FTC.

I’m sure between us all we can put together a few pounds to pay for 1 or 3 items from the shop and then run a contest where people try to guess the time (UTC time so there is no confusion) when the first Neoscrypt block is generated, closest to the time wins, next closest gets runner up prize.

We could either make the contest free (one enter per person), or maybe charge a couple of FTC to enter (as many times as they like to enter), but to enter you need to post on a certain thread on this forum, so it could get people to participate on this forum and also a link to the shop to show what could be won will promote the shop.

It could be tedious for someone to sort out times if we just use a post on the forum, so if anyone could do some mysql magic it would be better

yeah great idea. I like the idea of the NeoScrypt coins with the Noe domain names pointing at it.

But I was just thinking as this is a potential source of income (albeit small) maybe we should include as many coins as are willing to let us? (Do we need permission or is that only for use of the logo?)

The more coins the more purchases and we could post on each coins forum to promote / come up with ideas for new items, slogans images etc?

Cool. This will be a great way to cover FTC’s day to day costs that Bush currently stands.

Thats what I was hoping although Iv’e no idea how many actual sales would come through. But I suppose even a single sale would be money we could put towards running costs, or new development or whatever we want. :)

Exactly, you might find that someone who is averse to donating might be willing to donate if they get something in return like a T-shirt.

I guess as to whether you can make items for other coins depends on whether they have released the logo to public domain or have kept the copyright, so some coins that would probably be hard to find out

Well I can post on forums and ask. It looks like there are images that can be used for bitcoin.

OMG yes yes so much yes, so sorry ive missed this thread this is brilliant

                                  I’m pinning this.

I haven’t had time to read yet but we could add bandcamp to the list for music donated to ftc. Also videogames donated to ftc could be monitised in some way right? is there a “youtube” for flash games?

Should this thread be moved into the public side of the forum? I would like to see this idea become fully fleshed out. It could be a serious funds raiser.

Well I wasn’t sure if we should wait until we have a basic run through for the QR code stuff and make it look more like a real website than just some random code that it look like now and we could get it into the Newsletter?

And a big unveiling on a post?

Id want to have plenty content on the site before we went live too. Although its all on zazzle.co.uk anyway so in theory we could get sales.

But yes there are lots of ideas for raising funds for FTC and we really should be exploring them all. The more funds we can raise the better position we are in really.

The qr function is done. it’s just not in the main version. it has it’s own sub version of the wallet…

I couldn’t imagin it would be hard to put in the qr function we we fork to neo.
