We already have a topic asking what you do for a living, but what do you do when you aren’t earning a living?

I’ve personally got too many hobbies and struggle to find the time to do any of them at the moment, but if I was to list just the top 2 or 3 that eat the most of my spare money it would be.

Restoring my 1961 BSA C15 Motorcycle, thats the one in my avatar photo and was taken as I was unloading it from the trailer on the day I purchased it.

Wheel frame and forks are now all restored, just the engine left to go now, and I have a 1942 BSA WM20 that I’m gathering parts for as my next project

My second hobby would be model engineering, in particularly toy and model steam engines including miniature (G scale) live steam locomotives. I collect and restore toy and model working steam engines, and have a partially built clock that I will get back to one day

My third hobby which my wife likes the most is jewellery making. Every now and then I get some inspiration and make my wife some jewellery, now I generally only work in Silver as gold is just too expensive even when buying it at only a few percent about gold scrap value.

What does everyone else do in their spare time.

If anyone is interested I can share photos of any of my above hobbies

        Hi tumir :)

        Pictures would be great.

I made Bush some silver cuff links once - I was well chuffed.

Thinking about hobbies, I currently have none, I do enjoying walking, but most of my time is spent doing household chores :( and raising the kids and any spare time I have I spend on feathercoin. (help needed perhaps ??? )

          Ok a few photos.

Hre is my C15, WM20 and my modern Suzuki in the bacground. I wheel the bike out of the workshop on a sunny day a few months back to take the photo.

The engine is out as it is being rebuilt, the War Department M20 will be the next project and the Suzuki is just what I ride around until the BSAs are running.

I do it just as a hobby, I’m a long way away from a professional jeweller

Your Suzuki looks a lot like my old suzuki marauder gz 125. Loved that bike :)

Your projects look great I wish I had the time, money, patience or knowledge to restore something like that. To be fair any one of those 4 things would be good Lol.
