can someone help clarify making a purchase?

I have funds in cavirtex, should I be buying BTC then converting to FTC?
what is the price of FTC I should be looking at? (or I have no control of purchase price?)

Not used that exchange before but looks like they only trade CAD/BTC. So based on that I would say buy BTC there, transfer it over to somewhere like BTC-e and buy FTC with it.

          thx, as I thought.
probably lose some funds in the transfer to BTC-E; and the BTC-FTC trade thought?

You control how much you pay but you choose not to buy at current market price (there isn’t someone willing to sell at the price that you want to buy) then you will have to wait for the market order to be filled, which depending on the price you want could be a long time.

So if you want to buy FTC for 0.0005 which is much lower than it is at the moment then you could place that order and you would have to wait for someone to put a sell order in at the same price or lower.

The best advice I can give is to scale your investment over time. The market will decide what you make but you decide what you lose. So don’t go all in at once.

Yes you lose a little in the fees. I think there are plans to set up a web of trust on here. If we can get escrow or something I would be happy to sell you some directly.

I’d be interested in buying direct on my next purchase.
                (already spent my allowance lol)

I have a ton of references and online presence (via pm) to verify my rep.
I’d not have a problem transferring funds to you on my next purchase.

But I don’t think I have a way of receiving them. Oh other than BTC I suppose, I forgot that. Haha. I forgot that it was a decentralised currency, that’s how indoctrinated I have become.
