Well, last time I booted it up on my VPS the big problem was that I was having trouble altering the ability for it to work with other coins. So when letting it run it would display miles of:

{ [Error: Invalid FedoraCoin address] code: -5 }

So, it seems it’s pulling my local client for the coin I was running, but then after saying that 100 times in a row it does this:

Starting indexing: 128100
Finished indexing: 128100

Which, uh, is not anyone’s blockcount. Feathercoin, Fedoracoin or otherwise.

I have to be doing something wrong based on Kevlar’s instructions for deployment, but have no idea what it is.

Pay attention to blocks 220882 to 220887. 6 blocks in 4 hours, all of them are P2Pool generated. Flound says all his blocks were rejected by the ACP. This is a problem.

that is why we had a hard fork at 33000 with big bounties to reach it. this was to correct diff adjustment that was going to wide. So the diff 188 was killing FTC with a rate of a block every 2H as only hard core supporter mined FTC at that time. so the data is ok and the chain also.

so (block reward * price)/diff give a ratio that can be compare to other scrypt coins for profitability if price goes up diff can go up if diff goes up without price going up your screwed with a high diff and low mining power. That what happen with the 2016 retarget and big change on diff that goes up and price fall. profitability was very bad so miner goes away and high diff-low hashrate makes very very long time between blocks.

I made one last buy as a farewell under the name “BitGrenade”. So, the result (if no one buys) should be fitting in 8 hours.

Remarkably stable now. After the retarget in 3 hours the difficulty is supposed to drop by 0.5 only.

Leotian - You have an interesting idea that I will need to be think of. This is not something that we could implement any time soon in Feathercoin. This would need to be put a coin and tested throughly on a testnet. Linking block reward to miners hashrate could be very dangerous. Miners could manipulate it by mining it on and off.
