its cheap enough and i do it just in case. I had a few machines give me weird errors that went away when i increased it to 8. I also disable my paging file because of SSD which leads to more memory required.

cant say on the xfx. but there are a few mixed reviews on them.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112287

case is nice but openair is best. i promise! I really like this case above. i have modded it for my config. see below for example.

How much are you paying for the 7970s? The XFX 7970s can be a bit of a struggle to get above 700KH/s there are a lot of posts on poor performing XFX 7970s hashing scrypt.

$499.99 I would have purchased something different but this is the only thing that was in stock that would have high rates. I did read some of the reviews and hopefully they can be good for me.

Just got an Auto-notification 30 minutes ago for a R9 280X. Just checked and it’s already out of stock. Crazy!

soo getting 600khash from em
should be 750 but then again its xfx(hate em, and think theres a reason they are still in stock) fans on all my xfx 7970 died after 1-2months. and max i could pull was 600khash each.

gotta say im amazed that they dont overheat there. whats your card temp?

Pretty much. I’ve got the top pushing a little over 700, middle around 650, and the lower a little bit less. Probably will put a box fan to get a little more air but the wife wouldn’t let me steal it out of our room last night. It dropped temps 5 Celsius each card when I tried it.
