Thanks Acid, I tried nsgminer yesterday and got the following

      All devices disabled, cannot mine!

When i tried version 0.9.2 - the app just crashes.

hmmm that could be a driver issue you need to install the AMD OpenCL drivers as well as others like the AMD SDK etc

        nsgminer -k neoscrypt_vliwp -g 1 -w 128 -I 13

Should do better on a HD58x0

i’ve now installed AMD openCl drivers, AMD SDK and it still comes back with “All devices disabled, cannot mine!”

          Any ideas?

@digga Its a driver error. You need to downgrade to 14.7 RC3 I believe.

@digga Its worth having a go (trying differn’t drivers). It’s really the tricky part of getting mining going on Windows or Linux … The hardest thing is finding the driver and then then all reboots installing it.

Make sure you boot to safe mode and run the ati / amd clean-up utility, before installing the driver.

If mining with older cards on Windows 7/8, use either v15.7.1 if you also do some regular work there or v14.7 RC3 if just mining.

@ghostlander Thanks. I’ve downgraded the driver to give it a whirl.

This suggests a hash rate of 43 ?

Should I be able to get more than this on my card?

Very good with such old card, basic settings and such temp.

@digga Should be higher. Delete old *.bin files after changing the drivers or OpenCL SDK. You can also try the neoscrypt_vliw kernel with an increased intensity.
